Transgender Discrimination – Effective July 8, 2018, New Hampshire expanded its anti-discrimination law to include transgender people. The new law provides the same protections from discrimination to other people to ban discrimination in housing, employment and public accommodations.
New Protections for NH Employees
Under New Hampshire law, the New Hampshire Commission for Human Rights is the state agency established for the purpose of eliminating discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodations. New Hampshire became the 19th state to ensure nondiscrimination protections to transgender people. All New England states ban anti-transgender discrimination.
